CCEA Persuasive Writing is part of the GCSE Unit 1 exam paper. It contains one big writing task: Persuasive Writing. The task is actually called Writing for Purpose and Audience, but generally speaking, the skills of writing to persuade are being assessed. This free printable supports KS3 and lower ability GCSE students to improve their sentences by adding devices. 

This persuasive writing guide is set out with visuals to support all learners. The steps to follow from start to finish are set out in numbered steps with instructions. When printed, you can fold over and stick together to use as a bookmark, or even laminate it for students to use in school or at home.

Tracking your students' progress

Teachers of CCEA’s GCSE English Language course may find this tracking spreadsheet useful in monitoring progress and predicting grades. The spreadsheet has all of the formulas built in to calculate rank order for speaking and listening, approximate UMS scores from raw, and final predicted grades.
